2 Burung pesuit(burung cabai/kemade) burung yan

Could Extinct Animals Be Resurrected from Frozen Samples?

Julie Feinstein, a collection manager at the American Museum of Natural History, removes frozen animal tissue samples from a vat. The museum will store samples from endangered species in national parks. Credit: R. Mickens/AMNH Futurists have proposed that extinct animals could be resurrected some day via cloning of their DNA extracted from bone or frozen tissue. There is little agreement on this, but a new project to store tiny samples of tissue from endangered animals at New York's natural history museum again prompts questions on whether this approach might be insurance against extinction, not just a valuable data repository for biologists. In principle, such cloning has already happened. Spanish biologists resurrected an extinct Spanish goat, the Pyrenean Ibex, this year, cloning it from frozen tissue collected before the species’ demise in 2000. The clone survived for seven minutes after birth before succumbing to a lung infection, the British media reported. The limite

Make a Hummingbird Feeder from Recycled MaterialsMake a Hummingbird Feeder from Recycled Materials

Make a Hummingbird Feeder from Recycled Materials   It doesn't take much to transform an empty plastic bottle into a useful and attractive homemade hummingbird feeder. This project would make a terrific gift for any bird-loving family member or avid gardener on your list, and it's one kids can help with, too! Set them to work cutting the felt flowers while you wield the glue gun. Hummingbird Feeder Parts: 1 empty plastic bottle with screw top. Almost anything would work here. I chose a V8 bottle for its unique shape. 1 larger plastic cap, such the cap from an aerosol can. I used a cap from a can of cooking spray for its color-- red to attract hummingbirds-- but a spray paint or even a laundry detergent bottle cap would probably work. As long as it's bigger and wider than your bottle's screw cap, you're set. Sandpaper, 80 grit or higher. Spray paint Optional: masking tape if you want to make stripes with your spray paint Red craft felt.
